We all know about the For Dummies books.
It is a great brand. The Dummies books make it easy for people to learn about the things they care about. They lower the barriers to entry for learning. They put the burden on the author to help the reader learn.
I think it is time for “For Geniuses” books.
For Genuises books put the burden on the author to turn readers into Geniuses—with the same ease that readers learn the basics in the Dummies books. I don’t think it is any harder for learners to get the very best knowledge in the world—it may even be easier. It is just harder on the authors.
