Hawkcasting is podcasting with computer speech synthesis. It’s a mash-up of Steven Hawking and podcasting. As you probably know, Hawking speaks through a voice synthesis machine. Hence the term, hawkcasting.
My first hawkcast was in my article Podcasting with Speech Synthesis. I describe the issues and software for hawkcasting in that article.
To celebrate the coining of this fantasticoliculously fantastic term, this article contains a hawkcast of an excerpt from the great book Code Name Ginger. The excerpt is a detailed transcript of a meeting between Steve Jobs, Jeff Bezos, Dean Kamen, and John Doerr to discuss the Segway. It is a juicy meeting.
If your software can grok podcasts, it should show up automagically. Otherwise, download the hawkcast.
Note: If you tell 10 other people about hawkcasting, you will become a billionaire. If you don’t tell 10 people, all I can say is: good luck.
