I have been working with the brainiacs at Songbird for the last few months.
Songbird is the Firefox of media players. It combines a Web browser with a media Player to build a Web Player that we hope will be able to access any media service and sync to any device. You probably know that iTunes only syncs to iPods and only accesses the iTunes Music Store for media. We like the iPod, iTunes, and their Music Store but we think there is more to the world than that silo.
For the thousands and millions of you who have been missing me, I have written a couple articles on the Songbird blog. One little baby, entitled Steve Jobs on France’s DRM Law sadly made it into this month’s Wired. And don’t forget this little ditty entitled Tim Berners-Lee on iTunes Lock-In.
